Welcome, and thanks for being part of the growing J2Play community! This wiki is primarily a resource for developers adding their games to the J2Play Social Console and website operators adding the J2Play Social Console to their sites. If the information you're looking for isn't here, let us know!

For Developers

J2Play can be integrated into virtually any web, PC, or mobile game. Integration adds many social engagement and distribution features and makes the game ready to publish on all of our Supported Social Sites without no additional porting. After downloading the applicable toolkit, the initial integration takes minutes. The selection of available monetization methods is described in the toolkit documentation.

Released toolkits:

Beta versions of the following toolkits are also available:

  • Java ME (for Blackberry and mobile phone games)
  • Java SE (for applets, game servers, and standalone Java games)
  • iPhone
  • Flash Lite

Contact J2Play Developer Support for early access to these toolkits!

Beyond standard integration, various customization options are available. The J2Play Store can provide game-specific content or be used to unlock game trials. Contact J2Play Developer Support for more information.

For Website Operators

A compact version of the J2Play Social Console can easily be added to any web site using Google's Friend Connect. Sites with J2Play become new social networks in the system and receive a share of the gross revenue generated by site activity.
